Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, within the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme Strand 1 "European Remembrance" approved the project proposal of Historical Archives of Belgrade Escalating into Holocaust - from Execution Squads to the Gas Van of Sajmiste: Two Defining Phases of the Holocaust in Serbia.The project will be realized in cooperation with partner organizations: Center for research and education of Holocaust from Belgrade, Terraforming North from Sweden, The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka (Croatia) and NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies from The Netherlands.
The aim of the project in the next 18 months will be to form web site with on line database of victims perished in the concentration camp Sajmiste, to organize a traveling educational exhibition "October 1941", to develop new educational tools and organize numerous international panel discussions and workshops.
