turizam 2016Historical Archives of Belgrade has set up an exhibition Tourism in Belgrade between the Two World Wars to mark the 80th anniversary since Belgrade was declared a tourist destination, with a goal to demonstrate the development of tourism in Belgrade between the two world wars. Special attention was on the Rule Book on tourist destinations in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and on the Decree of the Minister of Tourism and Commerce declaring Belgrade a tourist destination on 22 December 1936.
 
The exhibition author Snežana Lazić exhibited the documents from collections and legacies perserved in the Historical Archives of Belgrade, representing all aspects of tourism: general resources, development of the raod infrastructure, tourism promotion, development of cultural tourism, visitors etc.
 
The exhibition will be officially opened on Wednesday 26th October 2016 at 14:30 on the Sava Promenade, Kalemegdan park by Ivona Jeftić, Secretary for Culture in the Secretariat for Culture of the City of Belgrade and by Miodrag Popović, director of the Tourist Organization of Belgrade.
