On Tuesday, April 7th 2015 in the Gallery of Science and Technique of SASA (Đure Jakšića Street 2) will be open an exhibition "Life on the edge. Inhabitancy of Belgrade Roma 1919-1941". The authors are Prof. Dr Vladimir Macura and Dr Zlata Vuksanović-Macura. The exhibition is organized by the Research Commitee for Roma life and tradition of SASA.The exhibition represents scientifically researched facts on living conditions of Roma population in Belgrade which lived in poverty in several settlements in Belgrade-Jatagan mahalla, Pištolj mahalla, Marinkova bara and Orlovska settlement during period of two world wars. The standing contains rich archival material including plans and maps, photos and drawings, official correspondence and personal letters. The exhibits are kept in fonds of the Historical Archives of Belgrade, Museum of the City of Belgrade, Ethnographic Museum and National Library of Serbia.Народне библиотеке Србије.
