Non-government organization Terraforming organized two events on 20th and 21st October in cooperation with the Israeli Presidency of International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance - IHRA and in partnership with Yad Vashem, with the aim to officially promote IHRA Recommendation for Teaching and Learning about the Holocaust, and IHRA Recommendations for Teaching and Learning about the Persecution and Genocide of the Roma during the Nazi Era, as well as to introduce the new teaching materials produced by Terraforming.
The first day was dedicated to the introduction of the IHRA recommendations on learning and teaching about the Holocaust and the persecution and genocide of the Roma, and the second day event was focused on the "The Future of Digital Holocaust Remembrance".
Within the session entitled "Best Practices and Experiences", Jewish Digital Collection of the Historical Archives of Belgrade was presented by Jelena Nikolić, Head of the Department for Digitization, Microfilming and Technical Protection of Archival Materials, and Tijana Kovčić, Senior Archivist.
The seminars specifically discussed new ways of educating and introducing young people to the culture of remembrance in line with the increasing technological challenges in modern society.
