On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the daily newspaper Večernje novosti, presented an article about the historical background and activities of the Historical Archives of Belgrade.
The text is dedicated to the celebration of 80 years since the Archives officially began to work, to its history and significant archival materials preserved in the archives, but also to the problem of the complete lack of accommodation capacity for receiving new archival materials from entities operating on the territory of the City of Belgrade.
Among other things, the Director of the Archives, Mr. Dragan Gačić, announced that the final phase of the development of the Main Project for the new building and the reconstruction of the existing one is underway.
