On April the 1st 2022 the State Archives of Serbia began a training course for employees in the Historical Archives of Belgrade, for working in the unique information system for digitization, management and protection of archival holdings in the Republic of Serbia – ARHIS. The expert committee of the State Archives, consisting of Tatjana Dragičević, archival consultant, Nikola Adžić, archivist, Head of the Department – Center for Data Processing and Aleksandra Janošev, senior archival assistant for informational technologies, presented the processes of work in the following subsystems of ARHIS: Register of Archival Material, Collection and Housing of Archival Material, Sorting and Processing, Digitalization, Publications, Library, Codes and Administration, Search.
The archivists of the Historical Archives of Belgrade were instructed how to work in this informational system which has been implemented in phases since 2019 in the Serbian archives and which has become permanent part of the archivists’ activities.
