International symposium `Wooden wheel and its applicability` will be held on 26th and 27th September 2014 in Maribor.

Invited by Mrs. Mirjana Koren, director of Maribor Regional Museum, while presenting our exhibition Belgrade though Centuries with a special retrospective on Slovenians in Belgrade, in organization of Regional Archives of Maribor and Historical Archives of Belgrade, we were particularly pleased to accept to participate in the project of this International symposium.

Archivists from our Archives, Olga Latincic and Evica Mickovic participated in the symposium with the paper `Wooden wheel and its applicability in the documents of Historical Archives of Belgrade`.

Selected documents illustrate everyday life in Belgrade and Serbia in 19th and 20th century. They are part of a thematic guide, made for this occasion, which as a scientific finding aid, should direct the researcher towards specific archival documents. The documents illustrate the presence of wheel in the documents of Historical Archives of Belgrade, but also the presence of wheel in various museum collections in Belgrade.
