The publishing activity of the Archives has been prioritized with the first place going to the publication of the documents of the most important fonds with the intention of making them available to researchers.
The publication of the documents of the fond of the Administration of the City of Belgrade was begun with the series entitled To Live in Belgrade. Six volumes have been published . Their promotions are held at the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, in April every year, on the occasion of the Days of Belgrade. The effort invested in this activity shed new light on, as was believed, already thoroughly investigated topic and area, whereby huge gaps were filled not only in the history of Belgrade but also in the history of Serbia.

Milorad Mišković was born in Valjevo 1928. Educated in Belgrade where he started his professional ballet career as soloist of National Theatre Ballet ensemble. Very soon, went to Paris to improve himself with the help of famous pedagogues O. Preobrazenska and B. Knjazev. It was the beginning of his brilliant career through engagements at Champs Elysee Ballet, International Ballet in London, Russian Ballet of Colonel de Basil, Marquis de Cueva's ballet troop, Paris Ballet of Roland Petit and French Ballet of Janine Shara. He cooperated with the biggest artists of his time: Serge Lifar, Anton Dolin, Maurice Bejart, Jean Cocteau.. and he danced with ballerinas known that time: Alisia Markova, Ivett Shovire, Janine Shara, Collete Marshan, Ludmila Cherina, Carla Fraci...
Started his own ballet troop and performed with it for 10 years in France, had guest performances around the world promoting young dancers, new choreographers, librettists, composers and painters.
During his career he was art director of different ballet troops and choreograph on the Yugoslav and international scenes.
Owns the title International dancing star. Many years spent as advisor and art director in charge of cultural programmes for countries with UNESCO membership, and after that, as director of International Council for Dance within UNESCO.
Today, he became an honoured president of CID-UNESCO. As a dancer, he is a laureate of many international awards. In 1992 he won an October award of the City of Belgrade for his life achievement.

".. An artist dancing can forget even himself, can reach timelessness, absolute, something what is difficult to name, what someone calls He, Maker at last, let's call him God, or cosmic law. With his dance an artist feels as a part of cosmos, everything what exists; fire,water,wind and ground. He is a part of something what is everything, he is in arms of that general, object and subject, what he needs to be. It is the moment of ecstasy, flash of perfect absoluteness, because he is a part of everything and nothing."

One in a series of books of Historical Archives of Belgrade, containing original archival materials came out of print. Archive materials of the Administration of the City of Belgrade – original evidence books of prisoners of Banjica Concentration Camp has been printed in two volumes: I volume: 707 pages; II volume: 830 pages, in 1500 copies.
camp complexIn the period from 1941 – 1944, in the territory of Belgrade existed four concentration camps. Most of the information is kept for the Camp of Banjica. Camp administration kept the evidence of arrived prisoners, in eight books kept in the Archives, containing personal data of prisoners of Banjica Concentration Camp. It's numbered data of prisoner's: name and family name, occupation, date and place of birth, parents name, marital status, address and residence, date of arriving and of whom were brought, information of theirs further movement.
Arhival documents are published in accordance with all methodological demands.funeral of victims Book also includes critical notes, which contributes giving the extra explanation, detailed ascertained through researches of archive materials of fonds kept in the Archives: fond of the Administration of the City of Belgrade – Special Police Department, fond of the Gestapo, than collection of memoirs and archival documents. The Books are followed by registers – alphabetical and geographical, so the explications of acronyms and unknown terms, sources of used literature. Photographs of the camp, German occupant and Serbian collaboracionist authority, camp administration, prisoners, scaffold, exhumation and photos of victims funerals made this edition special.
Most of the photographs were given to the public for the first time. The publication consists of introduction study which analyses idea of camp as "laboratory of totalitarian regimes" and historical point of view of expanding this idea among the camps situated across the occupied Serbia, giving the statistic overview of national, gender, age, social and professional structure of prisoners.
So abundant material provides to researchers possibility to "read" this part of history of the World War II in a methodologically enriched way, which took place on our land and to place it in time boundaries. Availability to this historical source implies us to think over the destiny of every victim of one dehumanized criminal system.
Introduction study of Banjica Concentration camp-Books of Evidence of Detainees (1941-1944 ) in English was published in 2014. The publication includes studies of Prof. Milan Ristović, PhD and Prof. Ljubodrag dimić, PhD, so archive counselors Evica Micković and Milena Radojčić.
